Your skin requires more attention in Summers when due to sweating it is always sticky, requiring frequent washing. Due to exposure to the sun and hot winds the skin becomes carped and complexion becomes sallow. Moreover, the pores get clogged due to perspiration and the skin can't breathe.
If you have a greasy skin, steaming once a week is advisable, if you have a dry skin steam it once a fortnight. For steaming a special electrical gadget is used. But if you are trying it at home, the procedure to follow is simple...
Boil water in a pot and place your face on it so that the rising steam comes on your face. Spread a towel on your head to save the steam from escaping and going waste. 4 to 5 minutes of steaming is sufficient. After this, sprinkle your face with ice cold water so as to close the open pores. Regular steaming keeps the skin glowing.
Some hints to follow to protect your skin during summer.
- Use soap at least once a day
- Clean your face and neck with a good cleansing milk
- Use a good astringent for oily skins
- After cleansing your face, take a piece of ice and massage your face slowly with it
- Wash your face with cold water at least thrice a day
- A light massage, with cream, on facial skin before going to bed is useful, but the quantity of cream required is to be less because in summers you don't need much grease
- Protect yourself from hot winds of the heat wave by applying on your face lime water mixed with asli oil in equal quantity. Keep it for fifteen minutes. Beware, that it does not go into your eyes.
