Samsung has introduced its Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) and GALAXY Pocket (GT-S5300) Android smartphones in India.

Samsung's Galaxy S Advance has a 4-inch touch display. The device runs on Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS and is powered by 1GHz processor. The Galaxy S Advance sports a 5MP camera.


The Samsung device is equipped with Find My Mobile, a lost-phone management system that allows users to track their lost phone via a web browser (samsungdive.com) and remotely delete data.

The GALAXY S Advance is promised to deliver HSPA 14.4mbps connection speed. It also features Wi-Fi Direct connects users to other devices through Wi-Fi access points for easy content sharing. The device comes loaded with three content rich hubs - Readers’ Hub, Social Hub and Game Hub.

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is priced at Rs 26,900.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket

The Samsung Galaxy Pocket, on the other hand, 11.9mm slim phone. The Galaxy Pocket comes with an 832MHz processor and HSDPA 3.6Mbps with advance Wi-Fi connectivity. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and users can access Google Mobile Services and download free apps from the Samsung Apps store. The 3GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB) provides ample space to store music, movies, photos and apps.
The Samsung GALAXY Pocket comes pre-loaded with rich features including Social Hub, ChatON messenger, Facebook and an event scheduler making this device the hub of the user’s social life.

The Samsung GALAXY Pocket is priced at Rs. 8,150.

With the launch of these two new Smartphones, Samsung has a range of 19 Smartphone models priced in the range between Rs.7,350- to Rs 38,250.
