Homemade Hair Treatments For Rough Hair

For rough and dry hair, you would need to pay special attention to conditioning. It is essential to understand that the reason your hair is rough and dry is that it lacks a sufficient amount of nutrition. If your hair roots and strands are not well nourished, then your hair will become dry and will break as well.
One of the first positive steps you need to take is that you need to cut your hair short. Please understand that it is easier to work with short hair and see results than it is with long hair. Besides, short hair also has a natural tendency to look healthier.
You should start following a weekly routine of deep conditioning your hair. This can be done by applying warm olive oil to your hair at least twice a week and leaving it in overnight. Olive oil is recommended because it is highly nourishing in nature and has the natural tendency to provide the essential nutrition via the oils that will help to maintain healthier and more beautiful hair. It is preferable to use extra virgin olive oil, but if you find that this is more expensive that you bargained for, you can also use coconut or almond oil as an alternative. Both are equally effective for your hair as well.
You can also apply a hair pack to your hair once a week or so. Make a very effective one with a tablespoon each of gram flour, fresh yogurt and honey. Add enough milk to this so that it becomes runny and easily applicable. This should be combed into your hair with the use of a conditioner comb and left in for about an hour before shampooing off. Please keep in mind that this may not always come off with one wash, and it may require two or sometimes, even three washes before it is out. Should this be the case, then you should make sure you are using a gentle and mild shampoo.
Using harsh shampoos can rob the hair of its natural oils, not to mention that they could also damage your hair in the bargain. You could also get a Lawsonia inermis pack applied to your hair about once every three months or so. Try and get this done professionally, since it is not easy to do it yourself, particularly if you do not know how. Lawsonia inermis can be very messy and can leave behind unattractive stains.

How To Make Lips Pink And Smooth And Get Rid Of Lip Darkness

Dry or chapped lips are mainly caused by overexposure to weather conditions such as cold, wind and sun. Other reasons could also be dehydration, allergies or irritation from cosmetic products or food, infections, vitamin deficiencies, medications, and smoking. Our lips have a thin covering of skin, and do not have oil glands to keep them lubricated at all times. Therefore even constant biting or licking will make the lips flaky and dry.

There are several ways to cure dry lips and get back your original shine and color...
You should start with drinking lots of water to keep your lips hydrated at all times. If after drinking water, your lips still continuously feel dry, then apply a cool wet cloth to directly hydrate your lips. You can apply this treatment every few hours.
You could also moisturize your lips using a lip balm every couple of hours. The balm should provide protection from sunlight, with a minimum of 15 SPF to save your lips from the sun. Avoid licking your lips as this only causes further chapping. Licking does not help in moisturizing your lips. Another thing to remember is that you should never peel the dead skin from your lips, no matter how dry they may feel.
Applying butter or milk cream several times a day helps to remove the dry, dead skin and also makes your lips smooth. A very effective method is by applying a paste of rose petals and milk. Soak a few rose petals in raw milk for a few hours. Take this paste and apply it to make lips pink and smooth.
Dryness could also be due to vitamin deficiencies in your body. Make sure that your diet includes all foods that are rich in Vitamin A and B. You could also be allergic to the toothpaste you are using, as they often contain flavoring agents that may not suit your lips. Using an old or a harsh toothbrush could also cause further harm. You should also be careful of what you’re eating as your lips could be sensitive to certain kind of food. A few food items that could irritate your lips are mustard, pepper, barbeque sauce, and alcoholic beverages. You should also avoid using cosmetic lip products till your lips heal as they might interfere with the healing process or cause further irritation. Finally, avoid smoking, because it absorbs the moisture from your lips and makes them dark.
