Now I am gonna show you how to make your pc faster than before. I can make your pc about 200% faster. To make you PC faster than before please folow the steps
# Go to start then click run and then type regedit


 
# Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER and then select control panel folder and then select desktop folder. Do it correctly
# You will see registry setting at your right hand side, after that select menu show delay and then right click and select modify.
# you will find edit string option -----> default value data is 400 , you have to change the value Data to 000
# Restart your computer. You will notice that your computer has become much more faster.
(Note : This will help you to start your computer start quickly,

Disabling My Computer

 In areas where you are trying to restrict what users can do on the computer, it might be beneficial to disable the ability to click on My Computer and have access to the drives, control panel etc.
To disable this:
1.Open RegEdit
2.Search for 20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D
3.This should bring you to the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID section
4.Delete the entire section.
Now when you click on My Computer, nothing will happen.
You might want to export this section to a Registry file before deleting it just in case you want to enable it again. You can also hide all the Desktop Icons, see Change/Add restrictions.

Validate Your Non-Original Windows XP

1- Click in start and then in run

2- Type in regedit and then ok

3- In the regedit, go to this following key:






HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wi

ndowsNT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents

4- On the right panel, double click in OOBETimer

5- In the opened window delete all values and click OK. Shut the regedit

6- Go again in start > run and this time type:

%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

7- In the window that oppened, choose the option... YES I WISH TO MAKE A PHONE CALL... ( or something similar to this sentence )

8- In the next step, click in the button that says CHANGE PRODUCT KEY ( or something similar )

9- In the next step, type a CD-Key:

THMPV-77D6F-94376-8HGKG-VRDRQ or JG28K-H9Q7X-BH6W4-3PDCQ-6XBFJ and click to update

10- After clicking in the update button, the assistant to activation will return one page, then click in " remember me later ", and restart Windows again.

11- Restart Windows, go again in start > run and type:

%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

12- The following message will appear:

Windows activation

Windows is now activated

Hide ur drives

How to Hide the drives(c:,d:,e:,a:...etc)
 

This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer.
 

1.Go to start->run.Type regedit.Now go to:
 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore

Now in the right pane create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives(it is case sensitive). Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .Now restart your computer. 
So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown(all gone...). 

To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created.Again restart your computer.You can now see all the drives again. Magic........lol....

Prevent Users From Writing to USB

If you have windows XP with SP2, then you can disable the writing option to USB drives. This trick is very useful if you have virus in your computer and want to copy files from a USB Drive but don’t want to transfer virus to the USB. Follow the given steps to disable the USB writing option:

To edit the computer registry, first you should log onto your computer with administrative rights.

First click on Start button and type “Regedit” in Run option.

then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Control
Here in right side panel, click right to create a key with the name “StorageDevicePolicies”.

Now in left side panel, select “StorageDevicePolicies” key, again right click to create new DWORD value then label it “WriteProtect”. Set its value to “1″. But again to enable writing, set its values to “0″.

Now close the registry editor and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

Task manager has been disabled by administrator


Method 1

 * Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
* Navigate to the following branch:

        HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Policies System
 * In the right-pane, delete the value named DisableTaskMgr
* Close Regedit.exe

Method 4:  Using Group Policy Editor - for Windows XP Professional
 * Click Start, Run, type gpedit.msc and click OK.
 * Navigate to this branch:

        User Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options / Remove Task Manager


 
 * Double-click the Remove Task Manager option.
 * Set the policy to Not Configured.

Displaying a Text Notice before Logon

You can create a funny message or legal warnings for others just before logon to your computer. This is very useful if you want to give a message to new user about the use of computer. Edit the value of registry keys to create a banner message.

Click Start button then type regedit in Run option then press Enter for next.

Here locate the location to:

HKeyLocalMachine>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Win Logon


Here in right side panel, right click to create a new string value LegalNoticeCaption and give it a value you want to see in the menu bar

Now again right click to create a new string value called LegalNoticeText and change the value you want to see in the dialog box


Now close the registry editor and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

How to disable the right click functionality on the desktop

Follow the given steps to disable the right click functionality on desktop:

To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.
 

Click Start button and type regedit in Run option then press Enter for next.

Here locate the location to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer

Here in right side panel, right click to create a new DWORD value with the name NoViewContextMenu (it is case sensitive), then assign number 1 in value data box.

Now close the registry editor and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.


But next time, if you want to enable right click functionality on desktop then simply change the value of data box or delete the NoViewContextMenu DWORD item

Clearing the Documents History Automatically

The windows Documents Menu display all the information about last used files and programs as a history. Your co-workers, family members can trace your activities on the computer with clicking on Documents menu. If you are using internet at any public place like internet cafe then you should clear your documents menu history to safe yourself from cyber crimes. You can clear the documents menu history manually, but automatically history clean option can be useful if one computer used by multiple people. To clear the document history automatically, edit the computer registry keys.

Click Start button then type regedit in Run option then press Enter for next.

Here in right side panel, double click on Recent and change its value of C:RECYCLED.


Now set your Recycle bin, "remove files immediately when deleted".

Automatic Screen Refresh Tips

When you are working on your local computer and want to refresh any changes in your system automatically. For example some times you are watching sports results, online Stock Exchange rates and any changes to your hard drive but these changes are not usually refreshed until you press the F5 key on your keyboard.

To refresh your screen automatically you should edit your system Registry. But the best technique to edit the windows registry keys, always export or backup the whole windows registry keys on backup drive before editing. Because any mistake in Registry can cause serious problem in your computer to run properly.

Follow the given steps to change the updates automatically.

First click on Start button then type Regedit in Run option.

In Registry Editor panel go to the path:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / System / CurrentControlSet /Control / UpdateMode

Here in right hand side panel edit the DWORD value to be between 1 and 5.

Now restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

5 Great Registry Hacks

1. Security:
USB Drives are one of the major tool through which data transfer takes place. In order to protect your data from getting stolen from you computer with the help of a USB drive you can make the USB drives read only.
Go to  ‘HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies‘ and   create a new DWORD value ‘WriteProtect‘ and set its value to 1. This will enable you to read from USB drives, but you won’t be able to copy data to it.

2. Sorting Files:
Quite often you want the files to appear according to their names in explorer. In order to restore the ASCII file ordering, perform the following hack :
Go to ‘HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Policies\Explorer’ and create a new DWORD value called as ‘NoStrCmpLogical’ and set its value to 1.

3. Speeding Up Menu loading time:
In order to make your menus load faster, perform the following tweak.
Go to ‘HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Control Panel\Desktop‘ and right click ‘MenuShowDelay’ and click ‘Modify’. Change the string value to some nearby 100 value.

4. Reducing Folder Accessibility Time:
To speed up the access to any folder that is pinned to start menu, perform the following hack
Go to ‘HKCR\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers’ and right click ‘ContextMenuHandlers‘ and click ‘New|Key‘. Type ” (blank space and no quotation marks) and press Enter. Select any folder and right click on it to select ‘Pin to Start Menu’ while holding Shift key.

5. Multiple Logins in Messenger:
By default you are allowed only a single login at a time on Live Windows Messenger. You can override this by
Go to ‘HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsLive\Messenger’ and create a new DWORD value ‘Multiple Instances’ and its values as 1.

Having your Favorites and Start Menus Sort Alphabetically

If your Start Menu Program or Favorites are not sorting alphabetically, it is easy to fix this:
  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/MenuOrder
  3. Under here is are Favorites and Start Menu folders
  4. In each there is a value called Order
  5. Simply delete (or rename this) and restart Winodws
  6. Your Favorites or Start Menus should now sort alphabetically

Creating 3D Window Effect

You can create a nice 3D effect for your windows
  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Colors
  3. Make sure the following setting are there:
  • ButtonHilight=128 128 128
  • ButtonShadow=255 255 255

Automatically Ending Non-Responsive Tasks

  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks
  3. Set the value to be 1
  4. In the same section, change the WaitToKillAppTimeout to the number of milliseconds you want.

Changing the Login Screen Saver

If you want to change the screen saver that runs at the login prompt:
Start Regedit
  1. Go to HK_USERS / .DEFAULT / Control Panel / Desktop
  2. Double click on SCRNSAVE.EXE
  3. Enter in the screen saver you want to us

Set the Online Registration as Being Completed

You can set WindowsXP to assume the online registration has been completed.
  1. Run Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion
  3. Create a String Value called RegDone
  4. Give it a value of 1

Hide/Unhide Logon Names

If you want to hide or unhide the names of users that are displayed on the initial logon screen:
  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Winlogon \ SpecialAccounts \ UserList
  3. Add a DWORD with the name of the user account you want to hide
  4. Make sure it has a value of 0
  5. If there is an existing account, you can unhide it by giving it a value of 1

Disable Passport Pop-Up

Normally, WindowsXP will prompt you 10 times that You Need a Passport to use WindowsXP Internet communication features...
To disable this
  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ MessengerService
  3. Edit the binary key PassportBalloon
  4. Give it a value of 0A (0A 00 00 00)

Disable Explorer Thumbnail View

If you want disable the Explorer's ability to show the Thumbnail View ,
  1. Start Regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Advanced \
  3. Change ClassicViewState to 1
